Hello beer lovers! As some of you may know Beerizer is a one man hobby project. The site started in 2015 with only one shop; the Swedish monopoly Systembolaget. It has since then grown with more than 70 shops throughout Europe. To handle all of this takes a lot of time and it's starting to take a toll on me as many of the tasks are boring and not something I enjoy doing any more. And hiring a couple of developers, accountant, marketing, sales and a support team is not something I can manage. As a beer loving developer I have always had the philosophy to not prioritize making money on the site since this was something I enjoyed doing for all the fellow beer nerds out there. But now it starts to feel more like a poorly paid job and it makes me think about the future. With a full time job, a house, a kid and many other hobbies it makes me think if this is something I want to spend my spare time on. And to be honest at the moment Beerizer is not even on my top-5 priority list. I understand that Beerizer is very beloved by many users and thanks for all the support throughout the years ❤️. I would personally feel very lost without it and I have learned a lot of new things because of the site. This is not the end but this is just a way for me to get my thoughts out there and to let you know why making things happen may take longer than expected. Until further notice everything will stay exactly the way it is while I think things through. It’s not you, it’s me. Cheers 🍻 Timo beerizer.com
