Description
Cuvée d'Erpigny matured with dried figs. From Alvinne's Facebook: "Figwit is a fan-created name for a then-unnamed elf in The Lord of the Rings film series. The name Figwit derives from an acronym for "Frodo is grea...who is THAT?!?". The character was later identified in the Hobbit film as Lindir, an elf of Rivendell who appeared briefly in the novel The Fellowship of the Ring. The link between Figwit and this Fellowshipbeer N°2 is quite obvious. In this barleywine it's all about figs. Figs grown in the garden of the yeastwhisperer Marc DK himself, picked and dryed by us, were added to the barrel aged (red wine St-Emilion Chateau Tour des Combes, American oak, 12 months) Cuve´e d'Erpigny. We did add another 10 kg of dryed figs as the initially the figflavor was to subtle imo."...
