Description
Produced by the De Ranke brewery, this beer has great individuality. In fact it was created from a blend of Lambic and beer. The process is almost identical to that of a Kriek, but without the addition of cherries. In fact, the added Lambic comes from the Girardin brewery .
This Belgian beer is a lovely colour of amber with a very delicate head that does not last. The nose offers a beautifully complex aromatic palette, ranging from woody aromas to the vinous notes specific to a Lambic. The mouth consists of beautiful acidulated notes reminiscent of apple and citrus. The overall character is dominated by a subtle acidity.
This beer, a cross between Lambic and a Sour Ale, is an illustration of what the De Ranke brewery does best. It's refreshing and characterful at the same time, and will delight a wide specrum of beer-lovers.
