Located in London since 1831, Young’s brewery is one of the last independent familial breweries of the Capital! With this Young's Double Chocolate Stout, the brewery proposes a very chocolate beer in a pure English style! This beer has been brewed according the classic English Stout recipe with « chocolate malts », so named because of their roasted aromas and black color. Those malts are frequently used on the brewing process of other beers but this time, the brewers added dark chocolate squares during the brewing from which the name « Double » Chocolate came!
This Stout has a wonderful deep black robe topped by a fine but persistent brown head. On the nose, it reveals aromas of roasted malt, chocolate and cocoa, prune and vanilla but also slight smoky notes. In the mouth, you will find a nice bitterness and roasted flavours the finish is mildly roasted.
